GJ previously worked in the investment management division of Goldman Sachs serving as a trusted advisor to a select group of high net worth entrepreneurs, families, and foundations. King holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a BA from Brown University where he graduated magna cum laude. At Brown, King was a member of the varsity basketball team and still plays regularly. He also previously held the Series 7 and 66 licenses. GJ is a Chicago native and currently resides just outside of Cleveland.
Will is a former manager of business development at LX.TV, a digital media content provider acquired by NBC Universal in 2008. Bressman joined the company at its founding and during its growth, Bressman helped broker distribution and content partnerships. Prior to LX.TV, Bressman worked on strategy and analytics projects at Good Morning America. Bressman holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and is a graduate of Harvard College magna cum laude with a degree in History.
Samantha was previously a strategist at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, where she worked on projects related to long-term company strategy and divisional marketing. Prior to VNSNY, she was an analyst at the private equity firm Great Hill Partners, where she focused on investments in financial technology. Samantha holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude.
Christopher DiTata, Esq. is our Vice President and General Counsel. He holds a JD from NYU School of Law and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. DiTata is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Financial Planning Association, and a licensed real estate broker. A former associate of Goodwin Procter, LLP and Babchik & Young, LLP, he brings a compliance and business law background to the company, with specialized knowledge in corporate governance and fund formation.
Steven is the Director of Sales at RIA in a BOX and works with individuals in establishing their own independent Investment Advisory practices. He provides guidance related to navigating the regulatory RIA application process and the essential RIA practice management components such as compliance, custody and clearing, technology, and E&O insurance.
Michelle was previously a Marketing Coordinator and Portfolio Project Manager for a national commercial real estate due diligence company, where she focused on marketing strategy and large scale portfolio project management for some of the nation's largest REITs. She graduated cum laude from Kent State University with a BA in Fashion and Marketing. Michelle is originally from the Washington, DC metropolitan area and enjoys running and yoga.
Jen was previously the Director of Institutional Sales at Equity Trust Company, a Cleveland, OH-based IRA custodian, where she led a team of business development and relationship management associates. Prior to Equity Trust Company, she spent over 7 years at KeyBank, where she led a team of Treasury Management sales officers focused on serving business clients under $30MM in annual sales. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Psychology, where she was also a member of the national champion cheerleading squad for both the men’s football and basketball teams. Jen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Akron with a MA in Communications. She is based out of the Cleveland office.
Mr. Melkonian built his career in compliance designing AML (anti-money laundering) campaigns and creating due diligence systems for Wall Street firms and nation-wide broker/dealers. Mr. Melkonian brings a background in law, concentrated compliance industry experience, and a tireless dedication to his clients’ well being.
David’s career in financial services spans over thirty years. After working with several major Wall Street firms and banks, David transitioned to the public sector to work for the state of Florida assisting with the regulation of insurance and securities agents, broker/dealers, and investment advisers. While at the state of Florida, David served as the Tampa Area Financial Manager for the Florida Office of Financial Regulation and was also a member of a NASAA Auction Rate Securities taskforce which helped negotiate the return of several hundred million dollars in assets to customers.
For the past 8 years, Chad worked for the State of Michigan as the Securities Examination Manager where he oversaw the examination program. While working for the state, Chad was also very active with NASAA, as a member of multiple project groups including Investment Adviser Operations and presenting at many conferences including Investment Adviser Examiner Training. Prior to working for the state, Chad spent 8 years in the private sector working for various broker-dealers and investment advisers across the nation. In his 16+ years in the industry, Chad has successfully conducted hundreds of examinations and investigations.
Colleen spent fifteen years with the Kentucky Division of Securities including eight years as its Director. She also served as Enforcement Manager and counsel to the Division and litigated both civil and administration cases on behalf the agency. While with the Division, she served as vice-chair of the NASAA Investment Adviser Section and as a member of the CRD/IARD Steering Committee during the time IARD was initially launched in 2001.
Jason joined RIA in a Box from the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner where he worked as a Senior Special Agent. In that role, he investigated alleged violations of Kansas securities law as a sworn law enforcement officer. He also worked in the compliance department, where he started with the office in 2011, conducting investment adviser and broker-dealer examinations. Jason served two years on the NASAA Investment Adviser Cyber Security and Technology Project Group dealing with issues related to cyber security regulation and recommendations for state registered IAs. Prior to working for the State of Kansas, Jason worked in the financial and insurance industries as an agent of a broker-dealer and an insurance adjuster. Jason is a graduate of Kansas State University with a B.S. in Operations Management, and the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.
Amy has spent over fifteen years in the retirement plans and investment advisory industry. Prior to joining RIA in a Box, Amy worked as an attorney in private practice providing legal and compliance advice, audit, and litigation support to SEC and state registered investment advisers. Amy was also the Chief Compliance Officer for a Portland, Oregon based pension consultant with over $13B in assets under advisement. In addition to her role as CCO, Amy also served as the firm's Director of Technical Services, providing consulting services to the firm's clients in relation to ERISA fiduciary duties, plan design, and vendor search services. Amy earned her J.D. and Federal Tax Law Certificate from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.
Eric graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in International Relations. Prior to joining the RIA in a Box team, Eric spent a season working and skiing at Deer Valley Resort, several years as a “manny” in Weston, CT and New York City, many years as a counselor at his camp alma-mater, Androscoggin, and one intense summer as a staffer on a city-wide political campaign. In addition to his time spent maximizing the client experience at RIA in a Box, Eric writes and performs improv and (occasionally) stand-up comedy locally in New York.
Wesley helped found and establish BioComm, a biomedical device accelerator, at Case Western Reserve University. BioComm was nationally recognized as Johnson & Johnson’s Be Vital Grand Finalist in 2012. Simultaneously, Wesley worked with IDEO and many Northeast Ohio business and thought leaders to ideate themes for “Flourish & Prosper Third Global Forum for Business as an Agent of World Benefit”. Wesley holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Automation and Control Systems. Works out of the Cleveland office.
Kin is the Chief Technology Creationist for RIA in a Box. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from New York University. In his spare time, Kin likes candle-lit dinners, long walks along the water by the pale moonlight, and rescuing both kittens and puppies from burning trees.

David graduated from NYU with a bachelors in Computer Science and Economics. He was a member of the wrestling team and enjoys doing submission grappling and Muay Thai to raise his power level in his free time, as well as traveling to new and exciting places, a good video game, and talking about himself in the 3rd person for company bios.
Emily previously worked at Record Access Corporation where she gathered private information from insurance companies and hospitals during the discovery phase of a medical malpractice lawsuit. Originally from Southern California, Emily began her career at Kaiser Permanente as a Workers Compensation Claims Processor where she worked extensively with patients, employers, insurance agencies and physicians. Emily has a BS in Criminal Justice Administration. In her free time she enjoys traveling, photography and running in Central Park.
Ann is from the great state of Texas where she was a former regulator for the Registration Division of the Texas State Securities Board. Ann has reviewed and registered hundreds of investment advisers, broker-dealers and securities offerings over the years. She graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Business Management. While at Texas State, Ann was a 4 year member of the University dance team, the Texas State Strutters. Ann enjoys chocolate, wakeboarding and staying active with her husband and two dogs.
Jennifer joined RIA in a Box from Record Access Corporation, in New York, New York. As a legal assistant at Record Access Corporation, Jennifer worked on behalf of numerous defense lawyers , to expedite the process of gathering pertinent information for medical malpractice lawsuits. Jennifer received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and watching Crime T.V. shows.
A graduate of Montclair State University, Sola brings over a decade of experience and escalating responsibilities in the insurance industry. Sola has spent significant time volunteering at hospitals as well as the Boys & Girls Club, and continues to build his career in financial services as a Client Service Analyst with RIA in a Box.
Alex is a recent graduate from the University of Dayton where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree. She previously worked for Children's Hunger Alliance where she worked to design and implement programs to be enforced in various schools and aftercare sites throughout the Cleveland area. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Maureen, a Cleveland native, graduated from Kent State University with a BA in Fashion. Prior to joining RIA in a Box, she worked for local public accounting and financial advisory firms in Cleveland. In her spare time, Maureen enjoys traveling, cheering for Cleveland’s sports teams and spending time with family and friends.
Derick is a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his bachelors of Arts and Sciences degree. He was a member of the Men's Varsity Lacrosse team. Derick is originally from Connecticut and works out of the New York headquarters. In his spare time he enjoys making music and is an avid sports player.
Jill is a Cleveland native, and a graduate of THE Ohio State University where she was a student in the Honors College. Before joining RIA in a Box as a Sales Development Representative, she worked in restaurant management including heading the brewpub at Cleveland's own Great Lakes Brewing Company. Jill lived in Nashville for a short time before deciding to bring her talents and her cowboy boots back to Cleveland. She enjoys craft beer, fishing on Lake Erie, and loves Bruce Springsteen.
Jeff is a graduate of Ohio University where he received his bachelors degree in both Management Information Systems and Communications. He previously worked for a promotional products company where he held the title of Marketing Manager. Jeff also assisted the sales team in attending tradeshows and conferences across the country. In his spare time, he likes to attend Cleveland sporting events, play softball, and spend time with family and friends.
Jeff joins RIA in Box most recently from Dynasty Financial Partners. Previously he has worked for UBS, Morgan Stanley, and Guardian Life in various Operational roles such as Billing, Client Services, Account implementation and maintenance. Jeff is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in NYC with a BFA in Advertising. A Connecticut native, he lives with his wife and three kids in Jersey City, NJ.
Before joining RIA in a Box, Natasha spent three years with the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association as a Benefit Specialist, where she helped pension plan members plan for and understand their retirements. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado at Denver and is a published author in the realm of environmentally sustainable business practices. In her other life, Natasha is a professional actor and comedian, and holds B.A. in Theatre Performance from Pomona College. She spent many years performing with various theatres in Denver, as well as two seasons singing with Opera Colorado, and presently performs improv comedy regularly at the Magnet Theater. Any free time is spent attending to the needs of her very demanding and adorable cat.
Tommy has worked in private wealth management in New Jersey and New York City since graduating from Loyola University Maryland with a degree in Finance. He previously held Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. In his free time, Tommy enjoys sailing his boat on the Barnegat Bay, traveling, and avidly following the Philadelphia Eagles. Tommy works out of the main headquarters in New York.
Ben graduated from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a degree in Business Administration and previously worked with Staples corporate office as a Print & Marketing Account Manager. He joined RIA in a Box as a Client Support Coordinator and enjoys travelling in his spare time.
Jaime is a Kent State University graduate, but was raised in Pittsburgh. After earning her Bachelor's in English, she took on several administrative roles, but settled in software support prior to joining RIA in a Box. In her free time, she enjoys reading, being with her dog, and playing Zelda.
Riley is a graduate of Northern Arizona University where she received dual Business Administration degrees in Marketing and Management as well as double minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Post College, Riley lived in Costa Rica and worked as a Marketing Associate for EARTH University, a non-profit focused on Agricultural Education. Since leaving Costa Rica, she has lived and worked all over the US, holding various positions including Event Coordinator in San Francisco, as well as Chief of Staff in New York City working for a company under Young & Rubicam. Riley is joining the RIA in a Box team with varied experience that has led to a well-rounded portfolio. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, hanging with friends and family, traveling the world, exploring new cities and restaurants, and blogging about her many endeavors.
Thomas graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a native New Yorker and believes that Brooklyn has the best pizza and bagels. When his eyes aren't glued to a monitor screen, he unwinds by going to the gym, playing an intense game of handball, or enjoying the occasional video game.
